Watson-Clark

Founder of the Gardenwood Counseling Center, which offers individual therapy sessions to African American women.

Melissa Watson-Clark (LCSW-C) is the founder of the Gardenwood Counseling Center. She spent the first thirteen years of her career working in social services with families and children. She began by leading a team of social workers at a nonprofit organization, then trained social workers in Baltimore County in her methods, and finally, as an employee of the University of Maryland, she trained administrators in the design and implementation of family-focused programs. Melissa held an executive position with the City of Baltimore as a strategic and policy advisor. During this time, she also launched her private practice, and in 2018, she founded Gardenwood. There, she offers online workshops and individual therapy sessions primarily for African American women, focused on holistic well-being, peace, calm, and balance. She is trained in herbal medicine, is a Reiki practitioner (Level 2), a certified Infinite Possibilities/Playing the Matrix trainer, and EFT practitioner.
