Tamala Floyd, LCSW, is a psychotherapist, author, consultant, and retreat facilitator whohelps women heal personal and intergenerational trauma. She earned her master’s degreein social work from the University of Southern California and her bachelor’s in psychology from California State University–Long Beach. With expertise in childhood sexual abuse, women’s sexual trauma, and domestic violence, Tamala’s work centers on trauma, mothering, and relationships—guiding women to identify emotional wounds, reclaim self-worth, and create more fulfilling lives.
Her book, Listening When Parts Speak: A Practical Guide to Healing with Internal Family Systems Therapy and Ancestor Wisdom, explores healing through ancestral connection.
Blending her love of travel and ancestral healing, Tamala leads international retreats where women release legacy burdens and strengthen bonds with themselves, their ancestors, and one another.
Married for over 25 years, Tamala and her husband have five adult children and live asdigitalnomads traveling the world.
