Lovell
Andrew “Shovell” Lovell is a psychotherapeutic counsellor, sound therapist, craniosacral therapist, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. He has been in private practice since 2010 and has been working with children and adolescents since 2020 as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. Alongside his private practice, Andrew collaborates with the National Health Service (N.H.S) to address complex issues like CPTSD, grief, addictions, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and abuse.
As of 1996, Andrew became a Patron for the Centre Point charity, focusing on young people experiencing homelessness, and also serves as an ambassador for the “A DJ Saved My Life” foundation. In 2008, he initiated “Universal Rhythm”, an organization that unleashes hidden potential through drum workshops in diverse settings, including homeless centers, youth programs, prisons, schools, corporate companies, and Buddhist groups. He also actively represented the “Kick It Out” independent charity campaign against racism and inequality at sporting events. Andrew is renowned for his role as the percussionist and member of the multi-platinum and award-winning band M People. He has collaborated with artists like Sting, The Chemical Brothers, Soul II Soul, and Dame Evelyn Glennie. Andrew also has a background as a TV and radio presenter for the BBC.
