Founder of Trauma-informed/adapted yoga (TAY) in Sweden, is a licensed therapist in Trauma SensitiveYoga TCTSY-F and a seasoned yoga teacher educator. Her comprehensive training includes accreditation as a Licensed Yoga Therapist from The Minded Institute in London and completing the Global Trauma Certification Program with Harvard Medical School. She is trained by and actively collaborates with the Trauma Research Foundation in Boston and engages in research with Nóra Kerekes from University West, Sweden, focusing on the impact of trauma-informed yoga. Beyond authoring Freedom from the Inside and creating methodologies for “Yoga as Therapy in an Institutional Environment” on behalf of the UN, Josefin plays a pivotal role in integrating yoga into Swedish Child and Adolescent psychiatric care, the Prison and Probation Service, including H.M. Prison and Probation Services in the UK, Forensic Psychiatry, and the Juvenile Justice System, SiS. As a program developer, staff trainer, and co-creator of national yoga projects, she leverages her expertise to enhance therapeutic approaches within these settings. Currently, she leads the Prison Yoga Project Europe, sharing her insights on the therapeutic potential of yoga through international lectures, including prestigious venues like the House of Lords in the British Parliament, the International Trauma Conference in Boston, USA, The Master Series at Oxford University, and the Yoga in Health Care Conference in London.
