Dr Aimie Apigian is a physician and holds two Master’s degrees, in biochemistry and in public health. As a medical expert in the somatic aspects of trauma, she founded The Biology of Trauma™, bridging the worlds of functional medicine and trauma therapy.
With the goal of training one million professionals and integrating the biology of trauma into all medical and mental health education curricula, she has developed training programs in functional medicine, mental health, and addiction, for healthcare professionals.
She also founded Trauma Healing Accelerated, an organization offering training for the general public that integrates Somatic Experiencing, Neuroaffective Touch, Artistic Narrative Trauma Therapy, and IFS (Internal Family System). In addition to training her peers, Aimie has been recognized two years in a row by the Mindshare Mastermind community of functional medicine entrepreneurs for having the fastest-growing practice in her field.
