Bruno
Humbeeck
Specialist in resilience, active in the field both as an educational psychologist and as a research director.
Bruno Humbeeck holds a European Master’s in Educational Sciences and a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Rouen. He works in the field as an educational psychologist and as a research director in the Department of Family Sciences at the University of Mons. His ongoing immersion in practices supporting parenting within families in crisis leads him to continually question the operational validity of the theoretical frameworks through which the psychosocial reality of individuals and families in difficulty can be understood. As a specialist in resilience, he is also a trainer and the author of several publications in the fields of family education, school-family relations, child abuse, substance abuse, and the care of individuals experiencing psychosocial breakdown.
In the work he has been conducting since September 2012 on visible and invisible violence in school and after-school settings, he has developed a model for preventing situations where bullying can take place. This model is based on the concepts of a “regulated playground” (to ensure control over these spaces and what takes place there) and “regulated spaces for dialogue” (to ensure control over class groups and what happens within them).
