Fosha
Founder of AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), a psychotherapy modality focused on healing attachment wounds.
Diana Fosha, PhD, is the creator of AEDPTM (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), an experiential, healing-oriented, and deeply relational psychotherapy designed to transform trauma, heal attachment wounds, and help people reconnect with their vitality. Fosha’s work focuses on integrating neuroplasticity, the science of recognition, and dyadic developmental research into clinical work with patients.
Described by psychoanalyst James Grotstein as a “champion of intimacy” and by David Malan as “the Winnicott of [experiential] psychotherapy,” Fosha’s powerful and poetic words, such as “undoing loneliness,” “existing in the heart and mind of the other,” “rigor without shame,” and “the True Other,” capture the essence of AEDP.
Among her works are: The Transforming Power of Affect: A Model for Accelerated Change; Supervision Essentials for Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (with Natasha Prenn); The Healing Power of Emotion: Affective Neuroscience, Development & Clinical Practice (with Daniel Siegel and Marion Solomon); and Undoing Aloneness & the Transformation of Suffering into Flourishing: AEDP 2.0. Several DVDs of her live clinical work have been published by the American Psychological Association (APA). Many of her articles are available on the AEDP website.
