Associate professor of clinical psychiatry, practicing child and adolescent psychiatry in Quebec.
Patrick Bordeaux, MD, holds dual French and American citizenship and is a permanent resident of Canada. He lived in New York for twenty years, where he completed the pre-medical program at Fordham University in New York (Lincoln Center campus). He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry at Laval University in Quebec City. During his training, he studied at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in Bethesda, Maryland (United States).
Patrick is currently an associate professor of clinical psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine at Laval University in Quebec City. He also practices child and adolescent psychiatry in Quebec. He serves as a consulting psychiatrist for children and adolescents in New Brunswick, Canada. He travels regularly within Canada, Europe, the United States, and Asia to give lectures on motivational interviewing techniques, childhood trauma, and addiction in children and adolescents.
