Psychiatrist specializing in childhood sexual trauma and bereavement.

François Louboff has been a psychiatrist in private practice since 1990, specializing in the treatment of victims of psychological trauma. A former hospital intern, he trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) at the AFTCC in Paris from 1987 to 1989, in hypnotherapy at the Institut Français d’Hypnose (earning a diploma in hypnotherapy in 2002 and a diploma in medical hypnosis in 2004), and in EMDR. He has been anEMDR Europe practitioner since 2005, and was head of the admission and certification committee on the board of EMDR France from 2011 to 2013. He was awarded a degree in forensic psychiatry from the UFR Kremlin Bicêtre in 1990.

François Louboff is the author of Guérir d’un abus sexuel (Healing from Sexual Abuse) published by Les Arènes in 2018 and Dire Adieu – Petit guide psychologique du deuil (Saying Goodbye – A Psychological Guide to Grieving) published by Payot in 2013. His blog (www.francoislouboff.com) and YouTube channel (@Francoislouboff) provide current insights on issues related to childhood sexual traumas and bereavement.
