Dr. Malvika Iyer, a recognized and award-winning advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, holds a PhD in Social Work. She is an international speaker, corporate trainer, TEDx speaker, and advocate with the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, as well as a champion of accessible fashion. Her powerful and inspiring speeches and her pioneering work have earned her numerous awards and accolades worldwide, including the highest civilian honor for women (Nari Shakti Puraskar) awarded by the President of India, a standing ovation at the United Nations, and the “Women in the World” Emerging Leaders Award presented in partnership with The New York Times.

She has been featured in over 300 international newspaper articles, television interviews, books, and magazines, earning her a spot among the 100 change-makers and influential figures of the decade. She has given lectures on mental health advocacy, inclusion, and diversity in the United States, Singapore, Norway, Indonesia, and South Africa.

Malvika Iyer was 13 years old when she survived a bomb explosion in India. She lost both her hands, and both her legs were severely damaged by multiple fractures, leaving them paralyzed and with reduced sensation.
