Pioneer of trauma programs in Asia.
Reshie Joseph began his professional career as a doctor. Having left medical practice some years ago he has fully retrained and now works as a counselling psychologist.
His has worked in extremely varied environments, from the prison service in Singapore to the luxury-end of the private sector. As Head of the Trauma program at The Cabin in Chiang Mai, Thailand he led a team of counselors in delivering Asia’s first fully inpatient trauma program. He would go on to set up The Cabins’ outpatient facility in Singapore as Head Counsel or in 2015 which included the first fully dedicated intensive outpatient program for trauma in Asia.
He is currently in private practice, specializing in the psychotherapeutic treatment of trauma and stressor-related disorders, and substance use disorders. He also acts as a consultant to multiple organizations, teaches on the subject of trauma and has recently published his first book titled « A beginner’s guide to trauma » which is available on Amazon.com.
